With the goal of inspiring as many donors as possible to make a planned gift to Baptist Health, we have established the Gloria Vasta Lewis Memorial Legacy Challenge. For a limited time, new or increased planned gifts to Baptist Health Foundation will activate an immediate cash matching gift equal to 10 percent of the face value of your future gift to support the Baptist Health entity or program of your choice.
The Challenge was created in memory of Gloria Vasta Lewis, a longtime Baptist Health supporter and Legacy Society Member, whose generous estate gift has provided up to $1 million in matching gifts for the Legacy Challenge. The matching gifts will leverage Ms. Lewis's generosity, generating funding to ensure Baptist Health's future while supporting its current critical initiatives.
To qualify for Legacy Challenge funds, gifts must be new or increased donations by a minimum of $25,000. The Challenge will provide a matching gift up to a maximum of $100,000 per legacy gift and will run through June 30, 2024, or as long as matching funds are available.
Legacy Challenge donors will be recognized as members of the Baptist Health Foundation Living Legacy Society and will be eligible for special courtesies. Donors who make permanent commitments to the Challenge may also qualify for naming recognition and membership in the Baptist Health Giving Society.
